To The Citizens of Pickens County,
In 2004 you graciously elected me to serve as your
coroner. At that time I promised to run the office with
dignity and respect. I feel that I have done that. I have
accomplished a lot of improvements to the coroner's
office that I am proud of. The coroner's office now
has its own vehicle for transports, a contract for the
use of the morgue at Piedmont Mountainside Hospital
as well as a separate office in the County
Administrative Building. These were much needed
improvements that were never addressed before me. I
have made sure that every family has been treated
with the respect that they deserve. I have applied a
combination of my training and knowledge of death
investigation along with common sense to make sure
the duties of the coroner have been carried out to the
best of my ability. I have maintained qualified deputy
coroners that have faithfully served. Now I am asking
for your support to re-elect me to serve as your
coroner for another four years. I appreciate the
support and confidence you have placed in me in the
past and promise to continue to operate with dignity
and respect with your help.
